La Geria

22km2 of lapilli (cinder) spread all over the area called “La Geria” form a big black garden. Man knew how to take advantage of this volcanic sand and started to plant vines. We will walk through this amazing manmade landscape and enjoy at the end a wonderful tapas meal with the local wine at one of the numerous wineries.

Los Ajaches

This beautiful old massif of los Ajaches is a natural monument and one of the oldest areas of Lanzarote. We start the walk from the village of Femés, heading south we’ll be able to see Fuerteventura and Lobos Island. We continue following a coastal path to Puerto del Carmen.

La Graciosa Island

We’ll take a little ferry trip to cross the 2km straight that separates La Graciosa from Lanzarote.  This little island has been uninhabited for a long time, shelter for pirates during the past centuries, nowdays fishing and tourism are the main activities. A nice walk along the best beaches leads us to the Yellow Volcano. Picnic on the beach.

El Jable

Unique landscape, “El Jable” means sand and this is all about, walking in a sandy area. However it will be unfair to consider this region only a desert, as crops in large fields are visible all along the way: watermelons, pumpkins, eggplants and sweet potatoes. Wildlife can be just around the corner as well, stone curlews, colourful hoopoes and somewhat rare houbara bustards can be observed in this area. Free time for lunch at Caleta de Famara.

La Caldera Blanca

This magnificent crater of over 1 km diameter is the highlight of the day. A good introduction to the mineral world that we are going to discover with this walk, as we cross different lava fields, all dated back to the 18th century. One of the best view point over Timanfaya National Park. Lunch «tapas» at Tinajo.

The North of the Island – Cultural Day

The North of the island is the wildest part where little jewels are hidden and this is what we are going to discover. We will start by Cueva de los Verdes, a volcanic tube, which length is over 7 km then we’ll visit the Aloe vera Museum to learn more about this plant, before heading to Haría’s handicraft market where we will take the opportunity to taste the local products of the island. We’ll finish the day at Casa de Cesar Manrique who had the brilliant idea to build his home amid a lava flow.

Famara’s cliff

View from FamaraWe head to one of the remotest village and walk up to the crest of Famara’s cliff. From there, the view is stunning: up north, la Graciosa and down south, the long stretch of sand of «El Jable». We finish at Haria, where we’ll have time to enjoy some tapas & vino tinto if you fancy it!
